ABOUT US
Introduction
Politics UK is the home of UK political news. Run by young people, for young people – we’ve grown from 30K followers on X in February 2023 to over 400K today by cutting through the noise and delivering politics in a way young people actually want to read it. We do this by breaking news before any major outlet while keeping it engaging across X, TikTok, and Instagram.
But that’s not all. For those who want more than the headlines, our website delivers student-led explainers and reporting, plus opinion pieces from MPs and well-known commentators. Covering UK, US, and global politics – and in partnership with Chamber UK and Curia – we add extra insight and context to every story and policy.
To share stories or press releases with the Politics UK team, please email our newsdesk at newsdesk@politicsnewsgroup.com. It is monitored at all times.

He serves as the company’s managing contact for partnerships and more general commercial success.
In addition to his role at Politics News Group and in the interests of transparency, Bailey holds a position with a Member of Parliament.

Our Growth
Politics UK’s growth accelerated in February 2023. Prior to that, the account focused primarily on polling, with occasional news updates, and audience growth remained relatively stable. After shifting to more consistent and timely political news coverage, follower growth increased significantly.
The account gained approximately 11.5K followers within two weeks, building on an existing base of 30K. Seven months later it surpassed 100K, and just over a year on it exceeded 300K. We now have over 400K followers on X alone, with audiences on Instagram, Threads and Bluesky continuing to grow as we invest more resources into those platforms.
Politics Global was launched in late April 2024 and Politics US was launched on 20 January 2025, following the successful model of Politics UK. Managed by a group of student admins from around the world, our aim is to engage young people with global and US politics through impartial, quick, and engaging news aggregation.
We have now launched our own news website, featuring original content on UK politics, global politics, and opinion pieces. This decision was taken to mark a significant step in establishing Politics News Group and Politics UK as contributors to original journalism, moving beyond our usual news aggregation.
More exciting projects are in the pipeline and will be announced on our X profile in due course.
Editorial Output & Impartiality
Our editorial output is largely driven by our own sourcing, from press releases across all major parties to Government announcements, Commons activity and press conferences. We clip and share this as part of our coverage, with our newsdesk monitored at all times to ensure Politics UK is first to report political news.
We make a clear effort to cover all major parties fairly and avoid giving too much attention to any one side. Posts are drafted and then reviewed by other admins to catch and address anything that could come across as biased. Feedback and complaints we receive are taken seriously and help hold us accountable in making sure no party is consistently over- or under-represented. Where necessary, these can also be escalated through our regulator, IMPRESS.
There are times, particularly during quieter periods like parliamentary recess, when one party may generate more news than others. This can lead to coverage temporarily leaning in one direction, though we make every effort to maintain a balanced output during these periods.
Alongside our own reporting, we also share exclusive stories from other trusted outlets. We monitor a wide range of news websites as part of this and share these stories with clear attribution to the journalist or outlet.
Who Funds Politics News Group?
As a small company, Politics News Group is funded through social media monetisation and follower subscriptions, with admins receiving a share of this income.
Regulation & Complaints
To ensure impartiality in all editorial output provided by admins, Politics UK and Politics Global are regulated by IMPRESS. If you wish to complain about our reporting, you are welcome to file a complaint on our website.
