We are a student-led political media organisation committed to delivering high-quality political news, analysis, and commentary. As we expand our original content output, we are looking for a politically engaged and editorially experienced individual to support our Editor in leading and developing our team.
Please Note:
- We are a student-run organisation – most of our writers are university or sixth-form students.
- This is a voluntary and unpaid role.
- We’re looking for someone who is politically engaged and active online, with enough time to commit to a growing, collaborative editorial team.
Who We’re Looking For
- A university student (preferred) or sixth-form student with demonstrable experience in journalism or editorial work
- Politically active online with a strong grasp of UK political affairs
- A proactive and organised individual with a passion for media, politics, and fair reporting
- Someone who can dedicate regular time each week to support content production and editorial duties
What You’ll Do
- Support the Editor in the day-to-day management of the editorial team and content schedule
- Collaborate with writers to help publish around 5 original articles per week in the UK Politics section (You will be expected as an Editor to write at least 2)

Write and approve high-quality, impartial political news articles including:
- UK government announcements
- Policy and election analysis
- Political explainers and opinion pieces
- Promote content daily across social media platforms including X (Twitter), Bluesky, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Uphold editorial standards - ensure all articles are well-written, fact-checked, and meet our journalistic code of conduct
- Conduct keyword research and optimise content for SEO (training provided)
- Source copyright-free images with proper attribution for all published content
- Liaise with MPs, political press offices, and external collaborators as required
- Monitor political trends and suggest relevant stories for coverage
- Review incoming press releases and recommend editorial coverage accordingly
